After suffering a severe brain injury in a car accident, a rep for Anne Heche said she is "not expected to survive."
Heche was seriously burned when her automobile collided with a home last Friday in the Mar Vista district of Los Angeles. Her representatives stated on Monday that she was in "very serious condition."
Since it "has long been her decision to give her organs," Heche is still being kept alive while the viability of each organ is being assessed by the medical team.
The representative issued a statement saying, "We want to thank everyone for their warm thoughts and prayers for Anne's recovery as well as the committed staff and great nurses who cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital."
"Unfortunately, Anne Heche's accident resulted in a severe anoxic brain injury, and she is still in critical condition and in a coma. It is unlikely that she will live.
