A number of Tuesday elections in four states—including the GOP primary in Wisconsin and the Democratic primary in Minnesota—highlighted internal conflicts.
As voters cast ballots in primaries across four states that exposed internal tensions, Tim Michel's, the favorite candidate of former president Donald Trump, won the Republican nomination for governor of Wisconsin on Tuesday, defeating a challenger backed by Vice President Mike Pence.
After the race was declared for him, Michel's issued a written statement in which he stated, "I love this great state, but Wisconsin is currently in a mess due to the failed leadership of Tony Evers and Joe Biden."
