Ancient India as Bharathavarsha: A chapter titled 'Geographical Features and Prehistoric India' in the Class 8 social science textbook has been renamed 'Bharathavarsha.'

A new flag has been raised: In the Class 6 Kannada textbook, an image of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari carrying the Kannada state flag has been substituted with an image of the Goddess clutching a saffron flag. Following objections, the Karnataka administration is said to have agreed to revert to the prior image.
