3 Christian Weight Loss Bible Verses : That Will Help You Keep The Weight Off

God created the human body with amazing care, and he intends for us to be in the best possible health. Here are three of my favorite biblical scriptures to help you lose weight.

Many of us are overweight, and we want to know why. We also want to know what biblical prescriptions will help us make these changes in our lives and keep them.

1. Christian Weight loss Bible Verses : Romans 12 : 1

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship” (CSB).

Consider this the way we keep and care for our bodies is truly a manner that we worship God; when we take care of ourselves, whether it’s by eating well or exercising, it brings delight to him, and it’s a sort of worship because we’re caring for what he created for us.

If you had a lovely car, you’d take care of it as well; you’d wash it, clean it up, and use it so it would take care of you and you’d be proud of it; God has given us this wonderful body, and when we use his power to do these things, we take care of it.

Many of us overeat for cultural reasons or to satisfy addictions, and if we turn to God first and say, “God help us with this,” we will be able to make better food choices, exercise more effectively, and honor God in every aspect of our lives. So that was a text that I truly liked.

2. Christian Weight loss Bible Verses : Corinthians 10 : 31

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God”.

Take note of what that means: whatever you eat or drink, you want to do it for the glory of God. Unfortunately, the manner we receive food has evolved dramatically over the previous 200 years.

We eat fast food, we make it easy, these foods are caloric dense, and because they’re high in calories, they activate dopamine receptors, causing us to crave more and more of that food to get that feel-good feeling. We’re also not moving around as much as we used to, all of which adds up to weight gain.

We gain weight, develop chronic health problems, and our bodies age. But in this test, it says that whatever we eat and drink should be done for the glory of God. When we think about our worship and doing things for God’s glory, and when we ask him to be a part of every aspect of our day, he empowers us to make better dietary choices.

Remember, it’s not all black and white in our connection; some of us need to take our time, but God wants to assist us and wants us to recognize that everything we do matters. There are ramifications, and he wants to be involved in every element of our lives.

3. Christian Weight loss Bible Verses : Ephesians 2 :10

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Think about that God has a special plan for you right now and we’re his handiwork and we want to find ways to glorify him and we can do this by every aspect of our life including the way we take care of our bodies.

I’d like to end with a story about one of my friends that I had a few weeks ago. I asked, “Rosy, looking at your kg., your blood work?” when one of my friends walked into the office two weeks ago, short of breath and weighing around 265 pounds.

I believe this is due to the fact that you’ve gained a few pounds. I understand it’s difficult, but why don’t you try to drop some weight and see if your shortness of breath improves? I don’t think I’ll be able to do that, she says.

So, let me make some recommendations, I said. Remember that we don’t have to do everything in one day, but the first step I recommend is to ask God for help and pick one or two things you can do to make a difference.

But first, start in worship, so she did. I told her to focus on drinking water, eating three to five fruits and vegetables a day, skipping your night meal, and getting some exercise.

Believe it or not, with God’s aid, he had shed 10 pounds in two weeks and his shortness of breath was improving. I didn’t have to order as many tests as I would have otherwise, saving him and his insurance company a lot of money, and all because he prayed God for some assistance.

You may do the same thing. If you have a favorite passage that offers you hope on your path to better health, please share it in the comments section below.

Christian Weight Loss Tips Number one: FOCUS ON WORSHIP

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve”. (Luke 4:8).

Luke 4 : 8 ‘Worship the Lord, your God, and serve him,’ it adds. Only concentrate on your worship rather than your weight. Allow God’s power to transform you.

Allow God’s power to give you what you need to continue with it day in and day out, and be content in the knowledge that God created you uniquely, and there is no one-size-fits-all diet plan for everyone. There’s no one perfect weight loss plan for everybody but let’s focus on worship.

Christian Weight Loss Tips Number Two  : THINK ABOUT WATER

But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4 : 14).

In John 4, when Jesus encountered the woman at the well, he requested a drink of water. Jesus, like us, required physical water, but he later tells her that if she understood God’s gift and who it is who asks, he would give her living water.

As a result, recommendation number one was to begin with worship, but worship brings us to more than just physical water; it also leads us to live water. Drinking water is one of the most important weight-loss practices.

Water helps to speed up your metabolism, keeps you full, and has no calories, so find a way to include not only water, but also alive water in your weight reduction plan.

Christian Weight Loss Tips Number Three : NUTRITION

“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon all the face of the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.” This familiar verse of scripture is the foundation of what I refer to as the Genesis 1, 29 Diet.

Consider eating plants as part of a weight-loss regimen. Plants have a lot of fiber, which fills you up with very few wasted calories; it’s not necessarily caloric dense, and it’s the way God designed us to eat. This is a terrific approach to lose weight in the long run if we walk with God, drink water, and eat plant-based foods.

Christian Weight Loss Tips Number Two  : MOVEMENT

“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” (Timothy 4 : 8).

First timothy 4 verses 8 for physical training is of some value but Godliness has value for all things well physical training. Lots of us do physical training whether it’s walking on a treadmill, moving outside, riding a bicycle those are all good things.

God wants us to move because it boosts our metabolism, but I also want us to think about moving with God and how he works in our lives while we move.

Notice how we talk about God and worshiping him in the first four lines; this is important because he leads us and provides us power. We talked about water, nutrition, and now we’re talking about movement.

Christian Weight Loss Tips Number Five : SUNLIGHT

“The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world”.(John 1 : 9)

The text John 1: 9 is our 5th biblical scripture and the recommendation that will assist you in your weight loss regimen. There was pure light that came into the globe and illuminated everyone. But keep in mind that we discussed both the physical and spiritual aspects of each of these suggestions.

When we’re outside in the sunlight, think about how pleasant it feels to be warm; there’s genuine chemistry behind the Vitamin D hormones that make us feel good. However, while you’re outside and feeling well, you can think about all of these other suggestions, as well as the actual light of the planet that gives you power.

Let’s go over these five biblical recommendations for worshiping God. He offers you power, water, and living water movement, as well as god nutrition and the food of life. The fifth element is light. When we go outside and feel the warmth of the world, we also feel the warmth of God’s love, which aids us in our weight-loss efforts.

The power of God at work in your life is the secret to weight loss, and your creator has created this one-of-a-kind strategy just for you. You’ll also need a community to hold you accountable and encourage you.

FAQ : Christian Weight Loss Bible Verses

What does the Bible say about marijuana?

The Bible does not explicitly mention marijuana, but it does mention the hemp plant. In Genesis 1:29-30, God gives humanity plants for food, including “every seed-bearing plant on the face of the earth” and “every tree that has fruit with seed in it.”

This would presumably include marijuana, which is a seed-bearing plant. In Romans 14:14-15, Paul says that “everything that does not come from faith is sin.” This would presumably include marijuana, if it is used without faith.

The book of Revelation mentions a plant called “the herb of grace” (Revelation 22:2). Some people believe this is a reference to marijuana, but it is more likely a reference to the common wormwood plant.

In general, the Bible does not forbid the use of plants for food or medicine. However, it does caution against the abuse of substances that can alter our minds, such as alcohol (Proverbs 23:29-35) and drugs (Galatians 5:19-21). Therefore, Christians should be cautious about using marijuana, lest they abuse it.

What does the Bible say about judging?

The Bible is clear that we are not to judge others. In Matthew 7:1-5, Jesus says, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

We are also told in 1 Corinthians 4:5 not to judge others before the time of judgment. And in Romans 14:4, we are instructed not to judge others but rather to judge ourselves.

What does the Bible say about ancestors?

The Bible has a lot to say about our ancestors. In fact, it is one of the most frequently mentioned topics in Scripture. Here are some of the things the

Bible says about our ancestors:

1. God created them and loves them (Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 8:3-6).
2. They are a part of who we are (Deuteronomy 5:9; Psalm 103:13-14).
3. We are to honor them (Exodus 20:12; Leviticus 19:32).
4. We are to learn from their mistakes (1 Corinthians 10:6,11)

What does the Bible say about Prophet Muhammad?

The Bible does not mention Prophet Muhammad by name, but there are several verses that refer to him indirectly. In the book of Deuteronomy, for example, Moses predicts that God will raise up a prophet like himself from among the Israelites:

“The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.” (Deuteronomy 18:15)

Many Christians believe that this prophecy was fulfilled in the person of Jesus Christ. However, there are also those who believe that the prophecy refers to Muhammad, since he too was a prophet who came after Moses and led his people out of bondage.

In the book of Isaiah, there is a prophecy about a “servant” of God who will be highly exalted:

“He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:3-6) Some Christians believe that this passage is a reference to Jesus, while others believe that it refers to Muhammad.

What does the bible say about adultery?

The Bible has a lot to say about adultery, and it is clear that God views it as a serious sin. In the Old Testament, the book of Leviticus describes adultery as a capital offense, punishable by death (Leviticus 20:10).

Jesus also spoke out against adultery, saying that it was grounds for divorce (Matthew 19:9). In the New Testament, the book of 1 Corinthians lists adultery as one of the sins that will keep a person from inheriting the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

The Bible is clear that adultery is a sin, and it is punishable by death. However, Jesus also showed us that there is forgiveness and redemption available for those who have sinned. In the story of the woman caught in adultery, Jesus showed mercy and forgiveness, instead of condemnation (John 8:1-11).

This story shows us that even though God takes sin seriously, He is also a God of forgiveness and grace. If you have committed adultery, know that there is forgiveness available through Jesus Christ.
